12- Finally , the man got the lighting treatment. To create the ground shadow I copied the man's layer and flipped it upside down. Then I went to image/Brightness and contrast and set the brightness all the way down, and the contrast all the way up. Now he is all black. I then used edit/free transform (Ctrl + T) to get the right perspective on the layer with the man's ground shadow. I gradually erased some of the shadow farther away from his feet. For the man's body I did the Ctrl + layer click trick and made a new layer. I painted faint shadows all over him. Then I went back the original layer for the man and used the burn and highlight tool to lighten and darken different areas. One example would be the right side of the man's hat. |
